I'm a pattern tester

Hi beautiful people,

How you all doing? I know most of you are expecting about pricing crochet post. Very sorry i'm working on it and collecting informations about it. So hope it will be ready in 2 weeks time inshaallah.

Its ramadan month here. So i cant able to work on many things at a time. You all know the climate in India is getting hotter and hotter day by day. And its very difficult to fast and work the same time in this burning sunny climate. May the almighty Allah make it an easy one for all of us, Inshaallah aameen. :)

So coming to today's post, yes you read the topic right. I tested a crochet pattern recently and this post is all about that.

One of my wish is to test a crochet patterns from many talented crocheters around the world. Because before doing anything we first have to learn that things completely. I'm having many patterns roughly scribbled in a papers and filed. I made so many booties, frocks, beanies by my own without following anyone's patterns. But i have to learn the basics of PDF and formatting and everything behind it. I learnt a lot through this pattern test.

Recently i found this person's Instagram account and i came to know she's an Indian girl named Divya Bhat (@stringtierey). I always in search of an Indian crocheters in Instagram. Would love to collaborate with them and to grow our community of crochet. I started following her and she posted a pattern tester call application. I applied that and she selected me. This is my first pattern test and its so special to me.
I was chosen to test her Boho love bag and its so beautiful. With this pattern she also released two other Boho bag patterns.

Really i loved testing for her. And this pattern was super easy (with some tricky parts also there). This pattern calls for t-shirt yarns and i didn't have any with me. I was in doubt whether i could finish this test before the deadline. My co-testers started and they were half the way finished the bag. But i simply keep on waiting for my ordered yarns to arrive.

It made me so frustrated and i thought of making t-shirt yarns by my own. So i made some by myself.  I took one from my brothers wardrobe that he didnt even know till yet (lol). And its not easy to make two big bundles. It took 2 days for me to finish making it.

Front panel

I'm editing a tutorial of how to DIY T-SHIRT YARNS. I hope it will be out soon. Lol.. I have been busy these days guys.
And i made this bag with the t-shirt yarns i made by myself. You will need two colors to do this. Colour A 250grm and colour B 50 grams approximately. This pattern uses 8mm and 6.5 mm hooks.

Back panel

It has two panels front and back. Both panels are unique and beautiful. You can use either pattern or one pattern on both sides. It has a beautiful wavy side edge to join. You can use zipper for the opening like i did below.

And the chains i used in this bag is from my another sling bag. That's another story, it calls for a ring attached to a sling. i tried a lot in getting that exact chains. Even told my brothers in chennai to search for. Finally i decided to use my another sling bag's chain and it looks a perfect match. But that sling needs a chain now. so I'm planning to make an icord or a leather strap for this boho bag. And also i have to tailor some fabric lining inside to give it a perfect finish inshaallah. But only after the Ramadan.

I never thought i could finish testing this before the deadline. Really it was so much learning and fun to do this. Don't miss out this beautiful pattern which was out in Ravelry. You can check the details here.

And how can i miss not saying about my photographs.. Alhamdulillah I'm fortunate to get this man in my life. Its by my hubby Abdul Rahman. In a pattern testing its important to send the pattern maker some quality pictures and model pictures just to let others know the exact dimension and the shape of the final product. All this photographs was shot in a quick rush. I was the last one to mail Divya my photographs.

And its 6 p.m in the evening only half hour to break the fast. me and my hubby were in a rush to shot a picture. The sunlight is also going down. His photography skills made all the difficluties easy. Finally we made it before 6.30 pm. Only half an hour it took for us to snap these shots.

And he is the superhero behind this photography editing. He is in YouTube also. Check out here. And you can check his Instagram profile for super talented photographs. I link his Instagram profile here

Like me, my hubby is also lil lazy in updating his pages. lol.. or you can call that as busy also.. hehe.
If you want any product or professional photographs you can contact him. He is doing this as a hobby. This is not his profession BTW.

Aaand that's all about my pattern testing story. Thank you for reading patiently. Don't forget to follow me on Instagram where i'm active mostly there alone right now.

Till then take care and

Happy crocheting..!
